Inspired by the Holidays: A Season I Love Most

For Amy Hines, our Renfroe Gift Specialist, the holidays are more than lights and gatherings—they’re a season of inspiration. She designs and builds beautiful, handcrafted gifts for our retail and corporate clients—each one made to help them share a little love with family, friends, and colleagues. Creating custom gifts with a personal touch isn’t just her job—it’s her passion.

The holidays have always held a special place in my heart. It’s the time of year when the air feels a little crisper, the lights shine a little brighter, and creativity seems to flow more freely. I love how the season draws us closer together—friends, family, and community—reminding us of the beauty in giving, sharing, and celebrating life’s simple joys.

 

Much of my art is inspired by nature, especially the flora and fauna of Florida. During the holidays, that inspiration takes on new meaning. The sparkle of dew on winter mornings, the shapes of leaves and branches, and even the textures of seashells collected along the shore all find their way into my work. Whether I’m cutting a new metal design, creating a batch of artisan soaps, or assembling custom greeting cards, I’m guided by a desire to capture those fleeting, magical details that make this season so memorable.

 

What inspires me most during the holidays is how creativity connects us. Every piece I make—whether a hand-cut metal sculpture, a whimsical hypertufa mushroom for the garden, or a simple card—is meant to carry a bit of warmth, wonder, and love. Just like the holidays themselves, my art is about tradition, beauty, and finding joy in the details.
