Renfroe Pecan Company Fun Facts

Humble Beginnings

J.W. Renfroe Sr. began the business in the 1930s by buying pecans right from his home in Troy, Alabama. His son, J.W. "Jake" Renfroe Jr., helped out by purchasing pecans across Northwest Florida and South Alabama, storing his inventory inside a tire store he owned. Jake Jr. moved his family to Pensacola in 1956 to establish the brand's first official Florida pecan buying facility.
