Apricot Oatmeal Bars

Easy to prepare and designed to make a small amount, these squares are a marvelous blend of flavors. It's a dessert that can be stirred up in no time to satisfy a sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 1 - ½ cups Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Regular Oats
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Finely Chopped Pecans
  • ¾ cup Butter Melted
  • 12 oz Apricot Jam

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F
  • Sift flour, salt ,and baking soda together
  • Add sugar, oats, pecans, and melted butter
  • Press 2/3 of the mixture into a 9" square pan
  • Cover with jam
  • Top with the remainder of the oatmeal mixture
  • Pack gently
  • Bake for 30 minutes (top should be browned)
