• 2 cups whole wheat flour
• 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 5 tsp. baking powder
• 2 tsp. baking soda
• 1-1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
• 3 cups sour milk or buttermilk
• 4 tbsp. salad oil
• 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. Stir in whole wheat flour. Sift together.
4. Stir in brown sugar.
5. Stir in milk and oil until smooth.
6. Stir in pecans.
7. Pour into two well-greased loaf pans.
8. Bake for about 80 minutes.
