Chocolate Trifle

Chocolate lovers will love this decadent chocolate trifle recipe! With only a few ingredients, you can make a beautiful dish that guests will finish before you can say dessert.


• 18.25 oz. devil's food cake mix

• 12-1/2 oz. coffee-flavored liqueur (half a bottle), divided

• 3.9 oz. instant chocolate pudding mix

• 16 oz. whipped topping (or 1 pt. whipped cream), divided

• 1 cup medium-sized chopped pecans, divided


1. Make cake mix according to directions in a 9"×13" pan. Cut into bite-sized pieces. Layer half of cake in trifle bowl.

2. Pour half of liqueur over the cake pieces.

3. Make instant pudding according to directions. Pour half of pudding over cake mixture.

4. Cover with half of whipped cream and half of pecans.

5. Repeat layers with remaining half of ingredients.
